An elderly lady was caused to be left homeless because she was chased out of her house by people who claimed to have bought her house. The elderly lady has two daughters that were contacted several times to come see their mother, but they never came.

Care For You Health Services Home Based Care found the elderly lady lying on the floor in one of the back rooms in Leeuhof, she was starving and deemed to be losing her mind. Her social grant was taken by the family that chased her out of her own house. Care For You Health Services Homebased Care Professional nursing sister contacted the Department of Social Development Social workers to assist in the matter and managed to open a new bank account for the elderly lady. She was taken to an old age home where she is being cared for and are safe.
